ABOUT
The objective of our research is to generate information on threatened species and populations of animals in western Mexico, as well as to explore the environmental perspectives of people who coexist with these species.
Our goal is to influence concrete actions towards the use, management and conservation of species and their ecosystems. Our study models have included amphibians, reptiles, fish, and mammals. We are currently focused on the ecological study of the jaguar (Panthera onca) and the ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), their prey, and the rural communities in which they inhabit outside the Natural Protected Areas western Mexico
