¡Excelentes noticias desde el campo!

Ayer tocó revisión de cámaras en #LaPapalota en donde llevamos tres años monitoreando jaguares y sus presas. Ha llovido mucho y la zona se torna inaccesible. Una vez mas forzamos la #tracker a mostrar sus habilidades anfibias. Todos los caminos inundados por lo que el trabajo tuvo que hacerse a pié. Algunas cámaras ya no pueden más y tuvieron que ser retiradas mientras que otras fueron tomadas como hogar por termitas.

La excelente noticia es que, después de varios meses sin aparecer, las cámaras nos revelaron que la hembra residente "Janis" aún anda por ahí y ¡parece preñada! Esta sería su tercer camada en #LaPapalota.

Yesterday he had a camera review at #LaPapalota where we have been monitoring jaguars and their prey for three years. It has rained a lot and the area becomes inaccessible.

Once again we force the #tracker to show his amphibious abilities. All roads flooded so the work had to be done on foot.
